Motorcycle helmet

Design without Borders has developed a locally adapted motorcycle helmet in Uganda. The project has the potential to save lives.

Traffic accidents are a big problem in Uganda with motorcyclists especially vulnerable due to the chaotic traffic conditions. One of the reasons for this is the poor attitude towards the use of motorcycle helmets.

The helmets on the market are imported and uncomfortable to use in the heat. By developing a locally adapted motorcycle helmet, Design without Borders wishes to contribute to a decrease in the number of serious head injuries in Uganda.
