A safer working day for mine-clearers

The use of design in the development of new mine-clearing equipment has given added value. Mine-clearers now have better equipment and a safer working situation.

Design solution

Employing an innovation-driven design process, industrial designers have collaborated with users, experts and manufacturers to develop new protective gear for mine-clearing. Our focus on ergonomics, new materials and safety has resulted in user-friendly gear allowing greater freedom of movement.

The result

The new design has reduced the temperature inside the mask by 15 degrees and the new material chosen makes it 25% stronger and 50% lighter than previously.
